After a four-month transformative renovation, Shandrani Beachcomber is set reopen in October 2025, offering a refreshed and elevated experience.

What’s New at Shandrani Beachcomber
The renovations of Shandrani have been approached with the utmost care. Every decision was made to preserve the resort’s signature charm while enhancing guest comfort and immersion in the island’s natural surroundings. The project included updates to guest rooms, the introduction of brand-new room categories, and the addition of an exclusive adult-only wing.

Shandrani has introduced three new room categories, each with a distinct theme drawn from the island’s vibrant natural environment. Locally sourced materials such as rattan headboards, wooden partitions, and marble accents create a stylish yet grounded aesthetic. The Tropical Rooms, inspired by the Indian Ocean, feature tranquil sea blues and bright coral accents, while the Tropical Ground Rooms celebrate Mauritius’ native flora and fauna decorated with lush greens and floral patterns that echo the surrounding landscapes. Shandrani has also introduced a brand new luxury category of Rooftop Rooms, which include private wooden decks, open-air showers and jacuzzis, ideal for guests seeking privacy and indulgence.

Le Grand Port Restaurant
Le Grand Port, the resort’s restaurant, has undergone thoughtful restructuring to improve flow and elevate the dining experience. Now accommodating up to 297 guests, the restaurant features cosy booths and secluded nooks, ideal for a romantic dinner. An upgraded service station ensures more efficient service without compromising the relaxing atmosphere.
