Savoy Lounge, a new dining destination, opens at The Savoy, November 2024

A new chapter for London’s original luxury hotel beckons with the launch of Savoy Lounge, a vibrant new dining destination at the heart of The Savoy, opening in November 2024.

The Thames Foyer served its final afternoon tea under the famed glass atrium on the evening of Wednesday 21 August. The space will now undergo a complete transformation to elevate the offering for The Savoy’s discerning clientele. Guests can expect an energetic space for drinking and dining, where The Savoy’s theatrical flair blends seamlessly with relaxed charm.

Savoy Lounge will entice hotel guests and London locals alike with innovative menus that showcase traditional recipes with a modern twist, and the finest locally sourced ingredients. Service will evolve seamlessly throughout the various stages of the day, and, alongside The Savoy’s legendary afternoon tea, guests will be able to enjoy breakfast, coffee, lunch, cocktail hour, and dinner.

Savoy Lounge – Bar

The design aesthetic of this new London culinary destination, undertaken by London based design studio BradyWilliams, focuses on modernising the space whilst remaining true to its heritage. The atrium will remain as an impressive ceiling feature, but with modernised lighting to ensure the atmosphere of the room evolves throughout the day and into the night. A new central walkway will allow guests to easily navigate the space. Black and white marble synonymous with The Savoy, fluted glass, and gold embossed mirrors create drama and add excitement. Sumptuous leather and patterned upholstery in soft pink, warm ochre, and heritage tan create a space that is inviting and cosy in its atmosphere.

Upper Thames – Arrival

The Savoy has also confirmed a refurbishment of rooms and suites as part of a continued commitment to invest in the property and ensure the best experience for guests. This has commenced and is to be done in stages to have little to no impact to the operational running of the hotel. The first new rooms and suites will be revealed in August 2025.
