For the cover story of issue 62, @joycewangstudio reimagines @mo_landmarkhk (Mandarin Oriental The Landmark) as an elegant urban residence, drawing inspiration from Hong Kong's architecture, artistry and enduring spirit.

@neriandhu take on the transformation of the façade - inspired by woven textiles, it is composed of customised cast terracotta tiles rhythmically staggered to appear like a rippled curtain.

Meet EXPLORA III, the ship that makes sustainability feel like design, and not a
compromise.

As the first LNG-powered vessel in the @explorajourneys fleet, the ship represents a meaningful step toward in sustainable marine technology.

Inside: a lobby staircase in Perlato di Sicilia and Sahara Noir marble, hand-blown Murano chandeliers by Venini, and a second Patricia Urquiola-designed Owner's Residence on Deck 7 - bronze, Cipollino marble, ribbed wood, and a private whirlpool terrace facing the sea.

The lobby is where the biggest design moves happen

The lobby is where the biggest design moves happen and nowhere makes the case better than @mo_mayfair, where a bespoke light installation by @preciosalighting makes a memorable entrance.

Overhead, Preciosa’s sea of 851 hand-crafted crystal components floats from the front door through to the reception desk, dancing glimmers of light across the green Ming marble, glass and mirrored surfaces.

The very moments of summer are beginning to fade,

The very moments of summer are beginning to fade, and for some, the crunch of leaves and the cosiness of the season bring a sort of quiet excitement, while for others, the farewell to lighter evenings is rather more dampening – either way, the hotel scene is shifting too, and this month’s hotel openings lead the way.

Our favourite hotels openings this month are:

@nirema.hotel
@viceroyhotels
@ehawellness
@corihotel_denmark
@oysterestateny
@nobuhotels
@palaciosanjuan
